Section 1 deals with the Umayyad Empire - Where was this empire located?  Where was their capital?  How did they unite the people in their empire?  How did they rule their empire?  How did they treat the people they conquered?  Why didn't they expand further into Europe?  What brought about the end of this empire?

Section 2 deals with the Abbasid Empire - Where was this empire located? How did they gain their power?  Where was their capital?  What achievements were made during their time in power?  What brought about the end of this empire?
