Gateway Announcement
U.S. National Teen Driver Safety Week is October 15-24.
Statistics report that more teens die from car crashes than any other
cause - and the first year is the most dangerous. Gateway has entered
into the Celebrate My Drive Program.
Everyday from October 15th through 24th anyone 14 years old or older can log onto www.celebratemydrive.com
and make one safe driving commitment per day.
The schools with the
most commitments have the opportunity to receive grants, such as:
Grand Prize - $100,000 Grant & Concert by The Band Perry
First Prize - $100,000 Grant
Second Prize - $25,000 Grant
First Prize - $100,000 Grant
Second Prize - $25,000 Grant
Math - Mrs. Johnson
7th - Unit Rates
8th - Review Solving Equations (Minitest on Friday, October 17)
Honors - pg. 121 #9-29 odd
Science - Mrs. Eckley
7th - Finish classwork article (Make Room in the Periodic Table for Element 115)
8th - 1. Finish classwork article (Sir Isaac Newton and LeBron James)
- 2. Bring in 2-liter soda bottle (empty) for bottle rocket lab by Thursday. If your group does not have a bottle, you won't be able do the lab and will do an alternate assignment. (Check your recycling, ask neighbors but please do not go out and buy a bottle of soda.)
