Gateway Announcement

U.S. National Teen Driver Safety Week is October 15-24.  Statistics report that more teens die from car crashes than any other cause - and the first year is the most dangerous.  Gateway has entered into the Celebrate My Drive Program.

Everyday from October 15th through 24th anyone 14 years old or older can log onto www.celebratemydrive.com and make one safe driving commitment per day. 

The schools with the most commitments have the opportunity to receive grants, such as:
Grand Prize - $100,000 Grant & Concert by The Band Perry
First Prize - $100,000 Grant
Second Prize - $25,000 Grant

        Period 8 - Finish Punchline WS pg. 45 

Honors - Pizzazz pg. 56 (Minitest and Performance Assessment on Thursday, October 9)

8th:  Study for tomorrow's quiz - Ch. 5 Sec. 1 & 2 Vocabulary + Map Quiz (Map posted on 9/10 entry)
         7th Grade Test Re-Takes will be offered Thursday, October 9th after school.  
         8th Grade Test Re-Takes will be offered Tuesday, October 7th after school.

Science - Mrs. Eckley
7th & 8th Grade Test Re-takes - Use the sheet posted on the front whiteboard to sign-up for a test re-take. Dates are Tuesday - Thursday, October 7th - 9.

7th Grade - project trading cards are due Wednesday, October 8th
8th Grade - No homework 

Reading- Dr. Gibbons and/or Mrs. Loiseau
7th and 8th grade: Read 20 minutes a night/ 4 times a week
